As a result of SW&B’s continuing commitment to a safe workplace we have been presented with several national awards.

• SW&B was awarded the prestigious National Safety Excellence Award by the Associated Builders and Contractors for 2002 for Heavy Industrial Contractors working more than 2 million manhours per year.

• ABC’s Platinum STEP Safety Award 1999 through 2008.  This is a very difficult award to receive and is based on employer commitment to safety, resources allotted for safety, safety program goals, employee participation and training, as well as supervisory training.

• SW&B’s continuous presence project at Verso Paper in Jay, Maine has been recognized as an OSHA VPP Star Site.
